When an anomalous super-storm spreads across the continent in minutes, beach goers in Los Santos must face a fight for survival.
This machinima was recorded in the Rockstar Editor for GTA V. It was fun, but limited. If you ever wonder about why bikini clad women never dawn body armor… because the clothes available in the game don’t really have a good looking female body armor AND because NPC’s have a VERY limited wardrobe.
The footage was exported and then edited in Movie Studio 13. Once again, I provide nearly all of the non-game default dialogue. Pond5 provided several sound effects and some voice work – I’ve really come to like shopping their stock when I have the extra money.
This story is by me [The Wildcat], but wasn’t really written. It all started when I decided to toy around with Director Mode in GTA V. As I found, I could cause a traffic jam on most highways and set off several explosions. As long as I didn’t get to far away or look away from the traffic, a string of Final Destination 2 style deaths, explosions, and all-out carnage would follow.
I began picking characters to play with and run through the devastation. Then the project grew from there as I decided to throw in three GTA V characters that annoy me and give them their just deserts.
Then I began seriously thinking about making a small movie of all this and started planning out scripting, opening scenes, the after credits scene, etc.
Unfortunately, I still have not gone very far in the actual game. Thus, some of my available weapons and characters were pretty limited.
This is me… making do with what I had. Fun enough.
It is long. It’s basically a 1 hour disaster flick in the vein of Final Destination, any post apocalypse flick, or a natural disaster movie all rolled into one with very limited options for dialogue and tons of limitations.
